What is pitavastatin calcium: LIVAMED 1 (Pitavastatin calcium) belongs to a group of statins used to correct blood fat (lipid) levels.

Pitavastatin is indicated for the reduction of high total cholesterol (TC) and LDL-cholesterol (LDL-C) in adults with primary hypercholesterolaemia, including heterozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia and mixed (combined) dyslipidaemia.

How to take pitavastatin calcium: You can take it at any time. However, try to take the pill at the same time every day, preferably in the evening.

The recommended starting dose is 1 mg once daily. After a few weeks, you may decide to increase the dose.

The maximum daily dose for adults is 4 mg.

If you have liver problems, do not take more than 2 mg per day.

Special storage precautions: Store below 30°C. Protect from light. Do not freeze.
