What is cabergoline: CABERMED 0.5 (Cabergolin) is an ergoline agonist that belongs to the group of D2, D3 dopamine receptors and serotonin-5-HT2B receptors. This class of drugs is known as prolactin inhibitors.

Cabergoline reduces lactation (milk production) by reducing the levels of a hormone called prolactin.

Use of Cabergoline: It can be taken in doses ranging from 0.25 mg to 1 mg per week, the dose must be adjusted according to the prolactin level. It is recommended to start with a weekly dosage of 0.25 mg, then increase or maintain the dosage according to the prolactin level.
